Oh Gawd! [space] Typical left-wing "media"...Shrieking and Screaming all sorts of Extremism and Violence as a Reaction,.... .

Here's some of the Sputum in that "article"....(that just was well been written on toilet paper for what it is worth):

“He (The President, Donald Trump) is declaring war in the Middle East, he is declaring war against 1.5 billion Muslims
[and] hundreds of millions of Christians that are not going to accept the holy shrines to be totally under the hegemony of Israel.”
HE is Declaring War?,....War on ALL Muslims? [space] The left is WAAAYYY off,....fueled by their HATE.

And this Hyper-over-reactionary vitriol:

Has it ever happened in the history of mankind where the president of a foreign country decides the capital for the nation? And how about Palestinian sovereign rights in occupied East Jerusalem, which is in violation of international law?”

Trump didn't ..."decide the Capitol of a nation". [space] What a buncha puke!

The left is,..BY FAR,...the most UNstable,...The most UNhinged,...Most VIOLENCE-PRONE,....and DANGEROUS faction in the world today.
Dude - the Pope even has fears for what's happening with this.

How do you feel about that, oh righteous one?

The Pope is a socialist. Screw him. He’s wrong. He also takes a very timid approach to the possibility of backlash from a bunch of hate filled seventh century rock throwing punks. Pope needs to grow a set.

First, I don't care about the Pope.

Second,....he is as Road King correctly points out.

Anyone SO bent on left-wing policies/agenda just doesn't have an Sensible and Reasonable grip on Reality. (as was shown by all the Extremist Exclamations and claims made in the Link you posted.... ).

It’s a cinch that leaders of France and Britain are going to oppose POTUS. They blew it and let a ton of Muslims into their countries and now are politically chained to appeasing Muslim support. Makes me glad and proud that our George kicked ass on their George 250 years ago. Dumb ass proper Brits just never learn. They were damned fortunate to have Churchill in 1940 after Chamberlain screwed everything up with his kiss ass deplomacy approach to Germany. The Brits were damned fortunate when we Yanks entered the Atlantic theatre.

Yup, Good find! [space] That was in that movie.

It was a Comment that was fairly common at that time. However, what was left off that Statement was the rest of the truth.

It goes something like this......"who are over here pulling our asses out of the Fire and saving us all from what Churchill correctly pointed out, and Nevil Chamberlain got wrong.

I wanna hear more about hearing the A-10 coming, and how fast it came by?
Neither of those would be something I would have associated with an A-10

I know they are not particularly fast as combat jets go. But when they are are swooping past very low and you have limited horizon, it happens very quick. Why wouldn't I hear them coming? I told you we're dead quiet here otherwise. Not like four jet engines echoing off hills aren't gonna be noticed...they aren't exactly stealthy...

My remembery is still kinda intact, and I recall the Warthog being designed and used primarily in the Middle East as a very effective tank killer. It’s slow speed and quietness was deliberate for just hanging out waiting for targets that just didn’t have a chance. And, yes, very much loved by ground troops.

Slow is relative...350 mph is about as quick as most prop-driven fighters at full tilt in WWII, that's a lazy cruise speed for an A-10. They do actually slow down for a gun run, but that's a matter of accuracy and reducing airframe stress from firing that big bastard.. There are aspects of the design that tend to make the engines harder to lock onto with a heat-seeking ground to air missile, but nothing that makes them quiet by any means. The engine exhaust passes directly over the horizontal stab, which might deflect a bit of the noise away from the ground directly below it, but that's really not relevant.

It CAN fly very slow and low if needed, which enhances maneuverability. But I don't think you'd want to loiter around a hot zone like that for long. Too many things could come up at you.

Yeah well obviously none of you had to clean the fan blades on those TF-34's with a toilet bowl brush after they fired the gun and the thing wouldn't make fan speed any more!! Wonderful design where the soot goes right into the engine inlets!! :bang:

I've read it was the only place they could put them where they didn't eat enough gun gasses to actually make them compressor stall or flame out when it fired.

And of course it gives the engines some measure of protection from ground fire.

Well right there is failed design idea, they compressor stalled constantly. Pilots would say they'd try to keep it to only one engine stalling so they could fly with the other.......

When we were in the gulf in 90/91 our Harriers were having problems with the sand turning to glass in the hot section and coating the blades. We had been doing the engine wash to keep regular dirt from causing problems but the glass screwed up the air flow and the accels were way too slow. McDonald Douglas sent us barrels of Walnut shells to throw in the intake to break it up. Worked well.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.
