Army by 1 point. Navy had a chance but missed a 48 yard field goal for the win. Should have been a 38 yarder but for 2 five yard penalties by Navy. To have a game hinge on your kick is real pressure.....I'll bet he doesn't sleep well tonight.

Hello, Mudder. Hello Fodder. Welcome back to Camp Grenada! [emoji2]
Well, twice in a row for Army. Awfully nice to watch football again, young men in uniforms that they will switch to uniforms in service to their country. Makes my old heart glad.

If trying to beat each other at football is a good way to learn whatever....it occurred to me that given the score it was darn close game. And since we gonna need these cadets and midshipmen to actually cooperate with each other at some point, it's good that it was rather close. I reckon they are relatively equal in capability. To the extent then each side put forth their all, we have nothing to fear.

I remember as a kid growing up in Denver our neighbors had season tickets to the Air Force Academy football games. We used to trek to Colorado Springs and watch them just get freakin' demolished game after game [emoji2]

It was never a matter of would they win, just simply how much they'd lose by. The final scores would just be absurd...challenger in the 50's or 60's, AFA single digits, etc. Painful really. I think they beat Vanderbilt once. I remember everyone being dumbfounded...

Is there any other way. With my short experience of it at school I never understood the reason to chase a ball around a field to gain some kind of gratification for doing so. I was appalled at being told I had to push my head between 2 other mens buttocks and push to retrieve a ball I had no interest in what so ever

I was also never able to enjoy the mas shower in luke warm water with other men. Did'nt even get soap

Look what happened to herb. I made sure it would not happen to me.

I've had bad knees all my life and never could do sports more busy than say the YMCA volleyball league. Pretty heady in it's own right. But I do respect the effort put forth in high school and college games. NOT pro....except for the Cubs baseball.

I too was once intrigued by a ball. Large coloured object that seemed to move on its own, I would stare at it for hours pointing at it until one day I could say 'ball'.

Unlike other men I lost interest in it at the age of 2. I don't consider my self special but it soon became apparent that those that continued to chase a ball around a field did not become a stock broker.

I did at school....but not to that level. It's brutal in the top leagues. Hard to believe those guys just keep getting up.

I switched to soccer because my mum didn't like me coming home with bruises everywhere. Ironically, I think I got more beat up in soccer....

I saw it in my mind as a Monty Python skit. Pretty funny. [emoji2]
