I have always thought of enlightenment as being able to see rather than just look at people or anything living or not. peace torgy,

I "KNOW" that everyone's poop stinks and everybody dies but that don't make me enlightened... it makes me spiritual.
I do ride a Harley Davidson Motorcycle and that makes me enlightened.

enlightenment is just a word and has many explanations depending on a number of beliefs and situations
"Full comprehension"
Is the most basic explanation of the word

Riding a motorcycle, of any type, makes a person enlightened, riding an HD only makes a person's wallet flat.

It occurs to me that using a word to define itself is no definition at all. Am I wrong?

quite correct!

There are several so called.."dictionaries"...out there that are little more than attempts to re-define our Words.

And there is An Agenda behind doing so.

Be Wise in what you read. ;)

I agree with the first part, riding any motorcycle has the potential for enlightenment. It's just that I do ride a Harley and am just as proud of my two wheels as those haughty haters and bashers who have inferiority complexes about riding other brands vis a vis HD.
The second part is pure tripe. I have ridden HD for 50 years and have never had flat wallets. Worked hard and provided as a blue collar outdoor guy and made things happen all around me while being a long hair motorcycle riding man. Thank you.

Glad you are happy with your ride... So am I. Never been a "haughty haters and bashers who have inferiority complexes about riding other brands vis a vis HD" Not a dam thing inferior about my bike, especially to a hardly.

My brother rode HDs for a long time. Said the reason Harley's initials are HD is cause he never got out of the shop door for less than $100. [emoji2]

I have never felt that way about any of the bikes I have owned, including the ones I now have. Also, I have never felt my bikes were a burden that caused me to work extra hard, or grow long hair.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.
