Hey Mike, how does that camera attach to your helm? Or should I say, How did YOU do it?

I have a mount that gets installed onto the side of the helmet. You then attach the camera to the mount...and remove the camera from the mount...it's a ContourHD....GoPros look hideous. ContourHD is really low profile, including the mount...and the mount is very strong. They have all kinds of different mounts for different applications.

Thanks Mike, looking into getting one of these. Less expensive than GoPro too.

Another question I have because I didn't find any info on the subject is, what format do they use for the recordings? I mean as in file type. Are the files youtube friendly?

I think everything is YouTube friendly these days. YouTube used to be super picky. Not so much anymore.

Yup, the software that comes with it has a function to upload directly to your Youtube account.

There are plenty of apps out there that will turn your smartphone into a webcam..broadcast live. BUT, you better be on an unlimited data plan.

Sooner or later that's what will be offered on all smart phones and the like...unlimited talk, text and email..... I still have an old throw back of a flip phone ...yea I know I get the same from my sweet wife [emoji2] , and only recently added text for an additional 10 bucks a month....
Since most time I am unable to get in touch with my wife at her work place...the texting as solved that problem of communication...One of these days...well maybe....I'll get one that does the whole shebang...but for now my reliable flip phone does everything I need it to do.
It's AT&T and only twice I couldn't find coverage......both times in the mountains..once near Durango, Colorado and the other time in Arkansas in some isolated section near Kingston.

Yep. Picked up the contour+2 with extra battery and extra charger and a bar mount. They were out of the profile mount, but can prolly find that somewhere else. Should have gotten the flat mount to use in the car as well :bang:

The direct feed I was referring to was live broad casting from your Go Pro while you were on the move.......Now that would be kool..
I don't remember who put that thread on here about his trip he was taking and we could follow his progress via satellite.. [emoji106]
