Interesting story, thanks for posting it.

There is a civil war battlefield in Northern Okla I have to check out. It is way out in the boonies and at the end of a dirt road. I found it by mistake one day when I was out checking out the area I was working in. The sign at the battlefield says one group of men was facing another group of men about 100 ft apart. It has grave markers where the men were laying on the ground. I need to go back and take pics of it. It is surreal for sure.

Wow Keith, nice! I especially like that last shot there. Kind of like, the end of the road. Makes me wonder what's beyond.

That's one of the first things we look for in deciding on where our next long distance trip is going to be...It's always a destination that we haven't been before, it may be in the same state but we will take an entirely different route to and from..

If you're ever in Colorado check out the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park..
but make sure you got some fairly new brake pads on the bike....going down is a roller coaster ride...... The sun only shines on the Gunnison river but two hours each day when the sun is shining... The Canyon walls are so steep and so close together that the only time the sun shines in the bottom is at high noon.
