Some place with historic significance!
There will be a time where you will no longer be able to use, "But...I didn't know!", as an excuse. And if you're exiled from society, well, you were warned.

Just point it and find the squiggliest roads you can find. Grab a bed when you get tired/in civilization.

I like to Google, "Strange places in _____" and see what comes up. There's a lot of places and things to visit most don't know about. You'd be surprised. [emoji106]

It's the ride that matters, where you go is inconsequential...
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

DC, haven't gone yet, Lol. I've had a ton of things needing handled here that have done a great job of interfering with my riding.
I am going to try and get out of here before the end of the month for a few days to a week and then the Mrs wants to head to WV for a few days in August.

It's dang near too hot to ride here....Doing some early morning/late afternoon riding but not much....Wife has had it rough lately and not really interested in riding much...She and I are going to pack up and head for the Smokies in mid Sept....Camp at about a mile above sea level...That ought to beat the heat and make tent camping/sleeping nice....Trying to get her back into enjoying life....
Anyhoo, be safe out there T...and good to hear from ya....

Re: Where shall I go
DC, sorry to hear your mrs's isn't enjoying life at the moment. The September trip should help.
My Mrs likes the Elkins WV area and there's plenty of great road's to bounce in and out of the shade in that area.
I will be trying to hit the bro before the month ends, do a little camping/riding followed by WV in August. Best I am going to pull off this year.

Re: Where shall I go
There's an Android app called "Geocaching" that uses GPS, if you aren't familiar with it, it marks spots on the map that people have been to and left something behind. Sometimes it's a film canister with a little notepad and pencil so you mark that you've been there. The app will pinpoint the general area and give you clues, then you have to hunt for it. Once you find it you can mark the spot on the app as having been there. It's kind of entertaining. Good for going on rides and keeping track of where you've been. Gives you a reason to be wherever you are and see how many others have been there before you. Sometimes they'll have historic notes or trivia attached to the clue, or they might make up some story to go along with it. There's a free version and a paid version with more spots available. The free one has literally millions of spots, and the pay one is pretty cheap.

Re: Where shall I go
We're going to head towards south-central PA Tuesday for a 3-4 day putt. No particular destination. The 11th we're going to head down to WV for a week, maybe get in some KY and/or NC roads, but again no destination.

It pleases me like you wouldn't believe that I can get Little Designer the ankle biter to jump at my every post [emoji41]
Tom, yah the finger lakes are alright I guess, but I can ride there anytime as it's a day ride from here. I was really looking for a suggestion of somewhere different, some place someone here stumbled across that is out of the norm. Input and chit chat rather than planning and events [emoji476]
