Upgrading a VL 1500 to electronic fuel injection

Hi there
I'm a happy new owner of a VL 1500 Intruder from 1999. Now I'm wondering if it would be possible to upgrade to electronic fuel injection?

I looked into adding FI to my VS1400. It was going to get rather costly to do it. You can easily spend a couple grand on trying to set it up and if it doesn't work out quite right, who's going to help you?
I was inquiring with two different companies looking at cost and complications with installation. They both seemed very eager to sell me all the parts I'd need to do it, but they weren't as forthcoming with anything else. Basically, buy our stuff, it'll do what we say, and you're on your own, or so it seemed.

I did ask in another forum, but it was a local Danish one. I've become reluctant to take on this project and I think you're right about first trying to get the carbs tuned correctly.

Oops, you're right. I made the same post in motorcycle forum. The replies I got were the same. Don't do this unless you've got plenty of time and patience!
