Through the years I have admired many bikes. However, none put me back on my seat like the stylings of our beloved intruder. I have loved the line of the VS1400 since I first saw pictures of it in a magazine. It wasn't until 2009 that I was able to acquire one for myself. No other bike captures my attention like the Intruder.... Until now. My wife and I went to the local dealership. It's an all-in-one shop. Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki... To include Polaris, with the new Indians. As we were meandering through the showroom floor, one bike stood out from among literally hundreds of bikes. The Yamaha Stryker dawned in olive green metallic took my attention and would not let it go. I doubt I will ever release my 1400 into the wild. However, I fear he may have to share saddle time with a new Stryker. I hope it doesn't get too jealous....

I like the Stryker, but the Raider is a more comfortable ride. IMHO

Like both the Striker and Raider in looks.Like the looks of the two pushrod motor of Raider better. My 1400 looked a lot like my first year 1984 longsoftail FXST.They both felt alike and drifted a little in long sweepers I guess due to rake and long wheel base.I like way too many bikes and have too many for a old man :bonk: :bonk: .

You can never have too many. I once heard the perfect number of bikes is one more than you currently own.

Not yet. I can't justify 5 motorcycles in the garage.

I Need a larger garage.....

After selling the 1983 GS1100ES to a collector a few years back got down to five in the barn.Four even run [emoji2] .Then got the V-strom and five long dead ones in the basement! Have to agree with the wife now I have far too many motorcycles. But still lots more I would like too own.Like my 93 year old motorcycle friend told a friend I took to see the lots of neat old stuff he was selling."If I don't sell it soon someone else will"! My friend wanted the ford 60ci flat head he had running a welder. It all ready had a down payment and the guy did come later that day and load it up.My old friend can no longer ride and sold his last bike a S40.Another good friend 59 years old bought his 1971? toaster 750 BMW 15 years ago when he started to go with lighter and lighter bikes.
My now 95 year old friend can barley get around with a walker but sad my Harley wrench good friend died at 60 a short while after taking him for the first time to see my old friend with all the stuff he had.93 was a machinest and lined him up a sale for his lath that day.Toys are fun but even if you take them with you not good. Some young guy you think will like it as good as you did needs to have it  .My old 83 GS1100ES is back on the road and as far as I know bike never been on its side yet.
