He prefaced the gift with "you'll either love it or you'll hate it"....and this is what he brought:
Yep - a box full of keys collected over the past God knows how many years or so (sorry about the blurry pic).
The amount of red keys in the collection alone was kinda staggering:
Who buys a brand new bike and doesn't get given all the keys? Apparently mainly Yamaha owners....weird. The blue key is for an R1 - I think they went with blue for that year (one of the first models).
He found this box only because they had to do a flood cleanup in the shop - we had flooding here a few weeks ago and they had knee high flood waters through their shop - they had to throw out $250K worth of soiled stock (yep $250K
). All insured though - so not a shop closing event.
