How do I remove the sissy bar/backrest and mount, and not have the bike look like crap with it missing.
It appears the frame is needed for spacing when you remove the back rest, and the turn signal lights need it as well.
I didn't see a how to on this.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Re: How do I...
If you get a rail from the Bully it has no sissy bar but has the turn signal mounts.
I relocated the turn signals and used sockets for spacers.
The real spacers look like the ones in this thread:

I used a metal tube to relocate the turn signals

You could look on ebay, but it's probably cheaper and easier to go to Princess auto or harbour freight etc and buy some cheap sockets to stuff in there.

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to use sockets to remove my back rest.
I would rather spend the money on well made spacers or the Cobra Backrest Removal Kit.

Re: How do I...
Cheap chrome sockets look just as nice. And the Cobra removal kit is just that, only not sockets but bushings. If you want a perfect look, find an S83 spacer. There's a spot for signals.wj_hurd wrote:I'm sorry, but I'm not going to use sockets to remove my back rest.

If you're handy, you could machine your own out of aluminum.
Sockets are just cheaper and easier and look just as nice. Also gives an excuse to upgrade turn signals.

Those would be your choice. Take a couple out of your kit and hold them up to the gap and decide. Not everyone has the same opinion.wj_hurd wrote:OK... You're bringing out my inner redneck engineer !!
