My 500$ Steal!

Post by T3XAN »

First off thanks Yo I was really bummed when I saw intruder-alert was defunct.

So my bike my old 96 intruder 1400 broke down about two months ago. Seems to be a carb issue but that's beside the point. I was dreading having to tear it down and figure out what the hell was wrong this time. Well I was working about 2 weeks ago and pulled into a driveway to turn around and low and behold on the front porch was a 97 Intruder 1400 that was obvious had been sitting awhile. I went to the door and made an offer of 500$ to the lady who answered. Her son called me shortly after and accepted the offer. So I picked this thing up for 500$. About 200$ later and this is my finished product. It had sat for two years, I ran through the carbs got a new battery and applied some elbow grease to get her cleaned up and it runs like a top! Couldn't be more excited!

Sweet ride. If you lived a little closer I'd try to buy your non-running bike... I would make my 99 a parts bike.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

Well took my maiden voyage today and it didn't go so well. Seems it started leaking gas during the ride it ignited and the bike burned to the ground. Guess it's now a parts bike for my 96..... :bang: :fubird: :hellfire:
