Lucas Oil Fuel Stabilizer

Post by rocksandhammers »

Anyone use the Lucas Oil ethanol fuel stabilizer for their winter storage ( Heard some horror stories about using Stabil so I wanted to move to something else and this was on sale at my local Autozone so I figured I'd ask about other's experiences before putting it in the tank.

I haven't tried it.
True that regular stabil is not the best, either marine or ethanol versions are better.
I have had good luck with Startron and Seafoam.

I have used stabil without any problems, never used the lucas product.

What kind of problems have you heard about stabil?
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

The original stabil, that has been around forever, works great on non-ethanol gas....not so much on the ethanol variety.
Since the advent of ethanol gas, stabil has created a new formula for it, but still sells the original stuff.
Just use the correct product.

I guess I have been lucky then. Have to watch what I buy.
