New brake & clutch hoses

I wonder if I just add a 90deg banjo to that end if a regular banjo bolt would work?

The thread on the caliper is the same as a regular banjo bolt so yes you can change over to a "normal" line. You'll want a 90 deg bend banjo fitting on that end of the hose.

Just get a complete one piece braided line and junk the original set up.

Just to add, when the clutch line is laid out on the floor the banjo fittings should be 90 deg to each other.

A single hose from the MC to the slave without any joins.

Hey guys I put the new breaded hydraulic lines on and man am I having a heel of a time bleeding the clutch out.... it's being very stubborn it wouldn't hold pressure for 3-4 days and I've bled it every way I could think of, even now the clutch is having a hard time... in 1st with the lever pulled back it creeps forward if I lift my feet.... I bled it 20 times then reverse bled 3 times! Idk what's going on, only think I could think of is the fluid I used was old and already oem ill grab new fluid today and gravity bleed. I'm termed to go get a mighty vacuum bleeder.... anyone use one before? Any help is appreciated greatly

It may be that you need to rebuild the master cylinder. The seals in it are known to go bad and cause air to leak in. You can find plenty of rebuild kits on amazon.

Harbor Freight has a imitation mighty vac that works pretty good if you want to cut costs.

Yeah I was thinking that, but everything was fine begot the new hose. It'll drive now but in neutral it feels like it's engaging the clutch a little... does that mean there's a leak somewhere?

It means there is air somewhere in the line. It could be left over or a leak. If it is a leak it is most likely the master cylinder.

I had the slave cylinder start leaking into the crankcase and sucking air back in. It got so bad that I had to bleed it every day and the first 2 pumps would be nothing but air.

Update on the clutch... drained old fluid and flushed out system with new and it seems to have fixed the issues

Brake fluid gets moisture in it and the water doesn't compress as well as brake fluid. This means that the fluid doesn't cause as much movement as fluid alone will.

How did you put a new hose on the clutch without draining out all the old fluid?

I did drain the old fluid but after that I used brake fluid that I bought and opened 6 months ago... I didn't know that brake fluid has a time sensitive expiration after its been opened... but I also cut the top of the bottle off to look inside the bottle and there was dirt and debris and the bottom of the bottle, dunno how that got in there but it did also I noticed that my Clyburn bleeder valve is pretty stripped and worn and I may have a slight leak there. I sealed it up and bought a banjo bolt with a bleeder on top... problem solved I'm glad I've got you guys to help me out! I appreciate all of your help guys also I was wondering about fork extentions.... will Amy 39mm fork extentions work?? And how are they installed...? I really want to put a springer on my bike but I've got no idea what kind to get and where to buy it from... and one know where to buy one that'll fit the vs800???
