I don't remember who built it, I wanna say it was one of the God-Mode Sansuis that had like 300w per and quad, it had the coolest level meter ever...it looked like a radar scope, it was a simple CRT of a sort, with four quadrants and concentric circles indicating power levels, and in each quadrant a blue fuzzy light would "reach" out from the center, indicating the current power level of that channel. I think something about the character of the light told you something too, but I don't remember what. But it was so cool to see.
Uncle Phil had a lesser version of that. He brought it back from Japan. I thought it was the coolest thing ever!
And he left it out in the garage until it rusted to death...

I'm sorry we took your Victrola away Wally. [emoji2]
In the 50s High Fidelity came to be. You may never have heard true hi-fi it was astounding but stereo took its place and very few people remember or have ever heard true hi-fi. Not to distract but I also like car failures like the Citation.
I had one of those until it burnt up from too much heat. I opened it up and found out it was covered with red dirt 1/4 inch thick. The guy I got it off of lived on a dirt red earth road. I found out the hard way that when he said it cleaned it every two weeks him meant he wiped it off every two weeks. I can't find anything worth a hoot now. I got a box of old lp's my sister was going to throw away. It has some really old albums in it and a lot of crap that should have never been recorded. I'll find a record changer one of these days and rock the handicapped lady's world. She likes that old music and plays it all the time on the internet. [emoji106]

A pickup truck with AM Country was my first sound system back in the 50’s. A pickup truck with FM Stereo current most used sound system.

Signifying monkey, stay up in your tree. Always lying and signifying, but you better not monkey with me.
Bought a pair of big DCM speakers last Sunday at the local flea market for $50. I've got them powered by an old KR-V7030 Kenwood tuner-amp which I've had since new. The sound is awesome, great bass. [emoji106]
