VS800 Final drive TO vs1400 Final drive Swap
I want to swap in a 1400 final drive to lower the BUZZ@ 60mph so I can do some serious highway cruising maybe 3k mile trip. Has anyone tried this and used it long term? How hard is the swap? I found a few posts on the WWW but nothing I thought was complete enough for me to drive in head first. I found a final drive complete with drive shaft for 50 bucks U.S. so its very affordable.

It's been done.
IIRC the shaft length is different so you may have to swap shafts.
You may also have clearance issues at the wheel requiring additional spacers or grinding the heads of some bolts.

The 3 bolt holes on the swing arm need to be filed out a little.
Grow old disgracefully young man.
