There's a car for sale and I want it...

There's a lady here at work who pulls in every day with a silver Volvo C30 T5, and I notice it every damn time. A couple weeks ago I said to her, "I like your car." She said "Thanks, it's going to be for sale soon." Today, there's a sign on it. It's a 2007 @ $6,000. I want it.

Why would a guy get rid of a perfectly good Suzuki SX-4 that he likes, to buy an older Volvo? [emoji2]

We have a small (city, eh) driveway, which can't handle two cars... besides, we've only ever had one. Probably pass the SX-4 along to the Grandson...

I do like that Volvo... [emoji106]

Does T5 mean turbo straight 5 engine? If so, do some research. Volvo's straight 5's had a great rep for being unbreakable, but the turbo variants were just the opposite.

Now there is some dispute as to whether that's due to design flaw, or because the turbos get boy racer'd more...so I'd try to get a feel for the issue if you're serious.

I recently found a 1998 V70 wagon in STL with less than 80,000 miles and full records from the only owner, always garaged and serviced by Brentwood Volvo, they are the good one in STL. this thing was a peach. White/white, spotlessly clean and perfect. I wanted it SO bad. Problem was it booked at only about $1900 and the guy was wanting $3500 for it. We couldn't find a common number that worked. Woulda loved to have it....

Personally I'm surprised that people who live in huts made from dung with peat roofs even have one car...

I like that one ok Jeff but the ones I really like look like you have a 2/3 size 46-48 Ford 2DS .Have seen a few make a bar looking grill for them like the Ford. The little English Fords that looked like 2/3 size 33/34 U.S. Ford are all so great looking. [emoji106] :putput: Man I do really like the last two.Never saw that wagon before! Do recall the nice looking little coupe. [emoji106] Sweden made and were sold as one of the best safe cars made if recall right?
...edit to say did you change the coupe pic! Went back for another look and seems to be color change and went from shot gun side to driver side??

Yeah Volvo has always been in the lead on safety...in fact I'm pretty sure they pioneered seat belts...and took crush zones seriously before others, although the idea actually came from Tatra.

I know the model you're thinking of now, but I don't know what it's called. I know where there's one for sale, in fact.

I love this thing...Volvo Amazon with an Evinrude 2 stroke V8.

He still doesn't have a front end on it. But he's still got it, as of 2017. Angry, angry car. [emoji2]
