Can anyone provide the correct size for the oil drain bolt for the vs 1400?? I want to get a magnetic one and am having a hard time finding the correct bolt size. I have seen M12 x 1.5, M12 x 1.25, M14 x 1.5, and M14 x 1.25; and to confuse things further some places report that these different bolts fit the VS 1400. No, No, that can't be correct because (I don't think) Suzuki has changed the bolt size on any year 1400. My bike is an '03.
Some information is hard to find. Even my local dealer could not help as he only had them listed by P/N. Also the price for them range all the way from about $5 (us) to over $30 (us).
Appreciate any help/suggestions.

Pull your drain plug, break open a fridge magnet stick it on your drain plug and you should be good.

Duh!! So I measured the original drain bolts, which I kept! They are M12 x 1.25 threads. Why didn't I think of that.
One day you guys might want to know that bit of trivia.

Re: VS 1400 Oil Drain Bolt
M12x1.25 would have been my guess, because it takes a 14mm wrench to remove it....the threads are smaller than the head.....and they always use fine threads there.
