Anyone Lower a VS800?
Hey everyone just curious to see if anyone has lowered a vs800? Mine is a 96 and i would like to get rid of some of the rear wheel gap, if it doesn't ruin the bike lol. If you are lowered which struts/shocks did you use? Thanks!

My 750 has 10 1/2" rear shocks, it handles like crap. 11 1/2" is about as low as you could go, also it may help to install a rear tyre with a higher profile, check out a Dunlop Qualifier 150-90-15.

Saddle bags and a fat tire with 11.5 inch shocks should take care of any space you notice above that rear tire. The shocks help lower the bike, the saddlebags cover up any space above the tire and that fat tire makes the bike feel good. Personally I have a DS tire on my 800 I think it was a 175x80 15. I'd have to look to see what the make and size of the tire is to be sure. But I think it was a NEXEN from walmart. I'm gonna have to start writing this stuff down if I come back here anymore.
